Highlander Concert Series
Great choral sacred music at the highest artistic level is featured as the Highland Park Chorale, Chancel Choir, and Orchestra join forces to perform two monumental pillars of the repertoire. George Gregory Hobbs leads soprano Julie Liston Johnson and baritone Michael Hix in the heartfelt, beloved Ein deutsches Requiem of Johannes Brahms. Additionally, the profound Symphony of Psalms by Igor Stravinsky is remarkable in its economy of scope while exhibiting vast emotional range.
This is Julie’s Meyerson Symphony Center debut.
Te Deum
The Spring Valley Chancel Choir, orchestra, soprano Julie Liston Johnson, and John Tarver at the mighty will present for worship Arthur Sullivan’s Te Deum.
Mother’s Day Concert
Come celebrate Mother’s Day with us! Our Next Generation Choir (Children’s and Youth students) will be putting on a Mother’s Day Concert for all the Moms, Aunts, and Grandmothers in our church family.
Julie will be singing Pie Jesu, from Requiem by Andrew Lloyd Webber with her daughter, Ava Johnson.
